Location: Chichu Japan
Type: Furniture / Industrial
Budget: $10,000

The Chichu Museum, renowned for avant-garde art in Japan, has launched a bench design competition with a focus on creating ergonomic and sustainable pieces that harmonize flawlessly with the art collection, avoiding any distraction from the exhibitions. The winning design integrates traditional Japanese wrought iron fabrication techniques, ensuring ease of fabrication and transport.
Our standout design centers around wrought iron, ingeniously utilizing color to establish a captivating contrast. Each bench embodies the elegant form of a pebble, reminiscent of the stones found along the museum's adjacent coast. The thoughtful use of small gauge wrought iron makes the benches lightweight and subtly visible, allowing them to be easily moved and skillfully integrated into the exhibition space without overwhelming it visually.
